Good Housekeeping cartoon

Looking over some old clips I ran across this one that appeared in Good Housekeeping Magazine awhile back. This was colored with pastel chalks and pencils. Became pretty popular and was reprinted a couple times, I also sold the original. Perfect women's gag! I love it.

Recent Woman's World cartoon

Recent American Legion Magazine cartoon

This drawing appeared on page 60 ( Dec. 2008 issue ). It was done with a Micron pen as a black and white line drawing. After the okay, a color rendering was requested. Coloring was executed with a Corel PaintShopPro 11 program and printed on HP heavy matte photographic paper. After trying several brands, I found HP to be a superior quality photo printing paper.

Cartoon of the Week

I like gags about food, soup, sloppy joes, chili . . . as a matter of fact, there's a good chili joint in the next town called Fast Eddie's Chili House . . He makes a mean bowl for only 99cents . .
After I ordered and asked for onions and cheese in it, I noticed in very small print: with onions, add 90cents, with cheese, add 90 cents . . . The bill with a Coke and tax came to $3.48 . . Nice.
I didn't want to make a scene, so after he asked me, " How was the chili ? " . . I said, " Mean, it sticks to your ribs ! " . . . The S.O.B. says, " I know, my lawyers are working on that. "

Sat Eve Post Cartoon

This is the second of two of my cartoons in the July/August issue of The Saturday Evening Post, 2008. This drawing appeared on page 93.

When I was 18 years old in 1953 and attending Billy Hon's Cartoon School in Los Angeles I believed that some day I would be appearing regularly in The Saturday Evening Post Magazine.

Be careful what you think about. It'll probably happen.

I believe Paul Meyer's statement . . .

" Whatever you vividly imagine,
ardently desire and enthusiastically
act upon, will inevitably come to pass. "
