Just sold this cartoon to The Wall street Journal along with two others . . nice to hit a triple out if one batch of 15 drawings. I've always liked Hindu gags, although you would think it's a tired theme, they're STILL funny every now and then . . I STILL enjoy the Hindus, the cannibals, the desert island situations, kind of reminds me of The Katzenjammer Kids on that crazy island they lived on, The Three Stooges . . . and a little bit of slapstick makes AIG easier to take ( Along with a double Jack Daniels and a Gran Marnier ) . . . Skip the 10 o'clock news . . read a little " Atlas Shrugged " and you're ready to take on another day after some sleep with a cat curled at your feet . . Man, it doesn't get any better than this.

These two met in Berkley, got emgaged on Fire Island, ran off and eloped in Vermont - - last I heard the couple lived happily ever after - - ( AFTER THEY ARGUED FOR THE FIRST FOUR WEEKS ABOUT WHO WAS GOING TO DO WHAT TO WHO ! )


Sometimes you gotta take a break and do one of these off-the-wall cartoons to keep your sanity . . you know, just to remind yourself that that I'm O.K. and everyone else is A-H-H-h, well, you know . . God, It's hard to be humble sometimes. I'm not judging anybody . . . but you and I know some people are SICK. As George Carlin used to say, " YOU PEOPLE KNOW WHO YOU ARE. "

This guy is an incurable optimist, kind of people I like to be around, I was going to say " hang around with" . . . I've always liked the people who see the glass half full, rather than the pessimist who always sees the glass half empty . . then, there are the the morons who don't even see the glass !

This makes you wonder . . . if it shouldn't also be fair if MEN get 72 virgins upon Martyrship ( is that a word ? ) that a DOG Martyring himself ALSO automatically qualifies for the 72 virgin bitches reward . . . and another thing, there HAVE been Women suicide/homicide bombers . . . but I never hear anything from THEM anxious to meet 72 Virgin Men ?! More importantly . . we could go on . . and on and on on this subject.
