New Yorker Enlightenment Cartoon

You gotta be pretty dumb, says Pat Byrnes to draw cartoons like this and then expect to sell cartoons to The New Yorker. He stated this in a letter to The Gag ReCap.

I wonder if Ted Rall or Garry Trudeau draw cartoons with the fear that they might offend someone or do they just draw an idea to make someone think. I would bet it's the latter,
wouldn't you ?

Another nice one, Roy. I like that I can see your blocky opaque pen shading. Btw, nice work in the latest Playboy.

Thanks for the kind words, Bear. The blocky pen strokes you mentioned, I've begun making my permanent signature on all of my new drawings and I'm pleased you
noticed the little detail.
