This drawing appeared in the February 2005 issue, page103. The finish was executed on 2 ply bristol, kid finish, ( over a light board ) using a 2 mil Micron pen and touched up, or gone over with a 4 B charcoal pencil and then using a smudge technique for the grey wash tone effect. I've always admired Sam Gross's work and I know I've been somewhat influenced by his technique.
