New Yorker Satire

This one also appeared as a cover for The Gag ReCap Magazine. Some of the covers like this were controversial to some, and the magazine received a letter or two from people who got bent out of shape
. . they ( the naysayers ) thought I should be subject to a wrath like Salman Rushdie . . for crysakes it was all just satire . .

Some people would complain if they were hung with an itchy rope.

I LOVE The New Yorker Magazine, and I think Bob Mankoff is a marketing genius. It's the greatest magazine there ever was! LIGHTEN UP . . What's the fear ?

If you don't get it, you don't get it.

" Fear is a question. What are you afraid of and why ? Our fears are a treasure house of self-knowledge if we explore them. " MARILYN FRENCH, b. 1929 American Novelist
