I always love cartoons with a medical setting, it has so much that everyone can relate to in having visited doctors and quacks in our lifetimes. Quacks, sheister lawyers, shady businessmen, I've had my share of experiences with these dregs while I was in business for 25 years . . I think it helps to have a good sense of humor when you've gotten the short end of the stick . . of course it's funnier when bad things happen to someone else, right?

New Cortlandt Forum Cartoon

Most (98%) of the cartoons in this and several other magazines they publish buy their cartoons from le'Mankoff's WallMart Cartoon banque. I was lucky to have been an old-timer regular with them and have been able to continually appear there on a regular basis.

Medical Economics cartoon

This drawing appears in the current November 2nd, 2007 issue on page 82. They bought it as-is. This is a fairly old drawing which was done around 2003. At this time I was experimenting using very soft 4B and 6B drawing pencils and then xeroxing them and submitting them as a black and white drawing, rather than leaving them in a pencil drawing in which they would've been printed as a half-tone ( appearing all in tones of greys which is the trend now and more "arty" ).
